Shipping, Delivery & Customs Policy

Introduction

Daroodi Ltd. delivers premium handcrafted luxury from our atelier in Bahawalpur, Pakistan, to doorsteps across the globe. Because we operate across international borders, it is vital that our clients understand how shipping, logistics, and customs operate.

“All Daroodi shipments are fully insured against transit risks. However, international customs duties and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the client, as mandated by the laws of your respective country.”

1. Production Timelines

Because every Daroodi garment is bespoke and handcrafted, shipping timelines begin after production is complete.

  • Standard Bespoke: 4 to 6 weeks from the date of order confirmation and final measurement approval.
  • Complex/Bulk Orders: (e.g., Masonic regalia, full ceremonial sets, or orders exceeding 5 garments) may require 6 to 8 weeks.
  • Note: Delays caused by clients failing to provide accurate measurements on time will extend the delivery window.

2. Shipping Methods & Carriers

We exclusively use premium, secure international couriers to ensure the safety of your luxury garments.

  • Primary Carriers: DHL Express, FedEx International Priority, or UPS.
  • All shipments require a direct signature upon delivery and cannot be left unattended at your doorstep.

3. Customs, Duties, and Import Taxes (DAP Shipping Terms)

This is the most critical section for international clients to understand.

  • Daroodi operates on DAP (Delivered at Place) terms. This means the price you pay Daroodi covers the cost of the garment and the courier freight charges only.
  • Import Duties, Customs Fees, VAT, and Local Taxes: These are entirely outside of Daroodi’s control and are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
  • These charges vary drastically by country (e.g., UK VAT, US Customs, Canadian GST/PST, EU VAT). We strongly advise contacting your local customs office to understand potential charges before placing your order.
  • Refusal of Package: If a client refuses a shipment due to unpaid customs duties, causing the package to be returned to Pakistan, the client will be held financially responsible for the return shipping fees, the original outbound shipping fees, and a 30% restocking fee. The remaining balance will only be refunded once the garment arrives safely back at our atelier.

4. Risk of Loss & Transit Insurance

  • Full Insurance: Every Daroodi shipment is insured for its full retail value against loss, theft, or severe damage during transit.
  • Transfer of Risk: The risk of loss transfers to the buyer once the package is signed for at the delivery address. If a package shows as “Delivered” by the courier, Daroodi is not liable for stolen packages from your porch/address.
  • Visible Damage: If your garment arrives with visible damage to the outer packaging, you must reject the delivery or sign for it as “Damaged” and contact us within 24 hours with photographic evidence.

5. Address Accuracy

You are entirely responsible for providing a secure, accurate, and complete shipping address. Daroodi is not liable for shipments delivered to an incorrect address provided by the buyer. Address changes after an item has shipped may incur additional redirect fees charged by the courier, which must be paid by the buyer.
