Master Artisan hand embroidering in Bahawalpur workshop

Est. 2016Our Heritage

Daroodi was built on a singular belief: that true craftsmanship cannot be replicated by machines — it lives in the hands, patience, and heritage of master artisans.

The City of Nawabs Bahawalpur Embroidery Tradition

Why Bahawalpur?

Daroodi's production unit is intentionally located in Bahawalpur because no other place carries the same depth of embroidery tradition in South Asia. Historically known as the City of Nawabs, it is one of the subcontinent's most celebrated centres of textile artistry.

For generations, artisans have preserved techniques passed down through royal court traditions. The city's heritage is not a marketing story — it is a living, breathing reality that directly shapes the quality and character of every Daroodi product.

Sourcing artisans from Bahawalpur means working with people who learned their craft the same way their fathers and grandfathers did — through years of apprenticeship, repetition, and devotion. That cannot be automated.
